Foulrice Park Racing

History

Foulrice Park Racing was formed in 2010 by Patrick Holmes and his business partners Colin and Ailsa Stirling. The goal was to create a small mixed yard where owners were provided with both a really involved and enjoyable ownership experience and the opportunity for racing success.

Initially the business was established from leased premises near Malton which had formerly been the training facility of the great Peter Beaumont. However, the long term plan was always to own our own facility and we were able to achieve this through the purchase of Little Spigot late in 2012.

Little Spigot was originally developed as a brood mare facility and overspill yard by Guy Reed and Chris Thornton when they were working so successfully in tandem from the larger Spigot Lodge across the road. Latterly it had become surplus to requirements which provided Foulrice Park Racing with the opportunity to buy.

Since purchase we have invested to carry out a full renovation and refurbishment of the facilities which we now believe provide the perfect platform for us to deliver those combined goals of ownership experience and racing success.
